Questions & Answers

Students pursuing any LAN/MQA approved qualification in Architecture, Product Design, Industrial Design or Interior Design are eligible for participation. Submission and registration must be done through respective institutions either as individual submission or group submission.

Submissions are only accepted through respective institutions. If your institution is not on the list, speak to your course coordinator to contact us for information on registering your institution for participation.

There is no entry fee nor deposit fee required to take part in this competition.

Institutions are encouraged to participate for all stations. However, submission to the organiser is limited to three (3) entries per station per institution.

Stage 1: One (1) A1-sized image board, one (1) A3 report, and two (2) copies of CD containing softcopy of the submission.
Stage 2: For the selected finalists (upon notification by the Organiser), 3D scaled model is required. Refer to the competition brief for more information.

The public voting and viewing will commence during the month of December 2015. More information will be made available later.

The judging process will be in 3 stages:
Stage 1: Shortlisting of finalists
Stage 2: 3D scaled model
Stage 3: Online public voting
Stage 4: Selection of winners

All submission will be evaluated against the following criteria:

  1. Concept and design innovation
  2. Design functionality
  3. Technical Compliance
  4. Vandalism prevention ideas
  5. Cost effectiveness

The organiser only accept three (3) entries per station per institution. Therefore, we encourage institutions to select the top 3 entries per station prior to submitting the design proposal.

Cross departmental collaboration for this competition is allowed. However, all members of the team must be from the same institution.

No late entries will be accepted.

You will be contacted by the Organiser in October via your institution. You will then be briefed on the design requirement for the scaled model submission

Entries will be picked randomly and featured in our website. However, only the finalists will receive extensive coverage on our website and social media, and may appear in the media.
